About 7 years ago I impulsively signed up for a calligraphy workshop, and it changed my whole life...

After a decades long career in banking that was successful but never felt "right", through this fateful workshop I had stumbled onto an obsession that would change everything. I loved the creativity that learning to write beautiful letters awakened in me, and I practiced my new craft obsessively into the wee hours of every evening. Eventually, my creative spark couldn't be satisfied with calligraphy alone, and I began seeking ways to accent the pretty letters I was writing. Given my love for gardening and flowers, it's no surprise that botanical illustration and watercolors grabbed me and held on tight.

I've since left my career in banking and am now lettering and illustrating full time! While I will always love botanicals and watercolors, I've also learned to illustrate digitally, paint with acrylics, and work in large scale for murals... and I'm nowhere near done adding to my list of skills! Nothing fills my heart with joy quite like making a boring thing into something beautiful. Whether that be a big, blank window or wall, a salvaged window, mirror or frame from the thrift store, your favourite pair of sneakers, or just a blank sheet of paper...I believe that every small moment of beauty can create a big moment of joy. <3
